The Cambodian Chronicles #14: Same Life, But Different

I may have mentioned this before but there is a saying that rings more true with every passing day: If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.

We have no idea what lies around the corners of our lives. Who knows what tomorrow holds? Heck… who knows what the next five minutes holds?

That’s true for everybody, but how much more for those who have decided to give their lives to God?

The Lord moved me to go somewhere that, outside of His influence, I would never have even considered going to before. He brought me to a land that has taken my heart, and led me to a group of beautiful people I now consider family. He showed me that the world is bigger than the concerns of my daily life, and He revealed to me ways to use the resources He has given me to further His Kingdom.

My life has taken a turn that I could never have foreseen, and all it took was a nudge from the all-powerful, all-seeing, all-knowing God of the Universe, and the willingness to take a step out of my comfort zone.

Go figure.
